About Me

Counsellor | Arts Health Practitioner | Writer

Hi, I'm Amy! I'm based in Padiham, Burnley in Lancashire, North West of England. Whilst most of my work is from my home in Padiham, I do travel to the local areas of Preston, Blackburn, Burnley, and the smaller towns in between.

The work I do comes in three parts:

I work with young people and adults on a one to one basis using talk therapy for a range of mental health, wellbeing and social issues. I can also use creative approaches to counselling where it is wanted and appropriate. I work from home for this but have the option to work in Burnley centre, Blackburn centre and Preston centre. I am also available to work online using secure video links.

Arts Health Practice

I design and facilitate writing for wellbeing workshops for community groups for a broad range of mental health, wellbeing and social issues. My special interest in this area is therapeutic writing.

And in my spare time, I like to write and perform my own writing at an open mic, pub or arts festivals! I am open to accepting commissioned creative pieces and my favourite type of work is creating experimental poetry exhibitions and performances. I am also available for content writing work. My areas of interest are in class and social issues, identity and sexuality, disability and mental health and North West landscapes/ heritage.

You can get more of a sense of how I work in these areas by continuing to explore this site, or you can get in touch with any questions you might have.

I'll be happy to help.
